Polyrhythmic Melody Polyrhythm is the simultaneous sounding of two or more independent rhythms. When all the drums sound together, the whole is much greater than the sum of its parts. This is the essence of a Polyrhythmic melody. In this workshop we will explore the relationship between the bass elements of percussion that support the overall drum circle. Eric Freeman: Eric Freeman is a Percussionist, Kalimba player and Multi-Media Artist who incorporates different styles of drumming into his music. He has been intensely studying the drumming language of West African music for the last 7 years. |
